Submit R350 Grant Appeal For July 2023

The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) provides social grants to vulnerable individuals. Beneficiaries receive these grants every month, even when they are unemployed or earning very little money.

Beneficiaries receive grants based on their needs.

Those older than 60 years old who require financial assistance can apply for the older persons grant. The Sassa Foundation also provides grants for the support of children.

Disability grants provide vital support to people with disabilities. A grant in aid is provided to social grant recipients who require full-time care; the grant itself is meant to pay a caregiver.

Many social grants are offered by Sassa to individuals.

Sassa accepts applications for the Older Person grant, the Disability grant, the War Veterans grant, the Care Dependency grant, the Foster Child grant, the Child Support grant, the Child Support grant Top Up, the Grant-in-aid grant, and the SRD grant (also known as the R350 grant).

Applicants must ensure they meet all the eligibility criteria before applying for a grant. Documentation supporting their grant application will also be required.

A grant application may, however, be rejected, but Sassa offers applicants a second chance by allowing them to appeal.

You will be notified in writing if your application is successful by Sassa. As part of the grant application process, Sassa is required to explain why your application was rejected if it is unsuccessful.

The purpose of an appeal is to request that Sassa reconsider your application if it was initially rejected. It is possible that Sassa will approve your appeal and grant you funding.

The R350 grant appeal form must be submitted for every month that a grant application is rejected.

The Minister of Social Development can be contacted in writing if you disagree with Sassa’s decision to reject your grant application. An unsuccessful grant applicant can appeal an unsuccessful grant decision by contacting the Sassa office.

Final Words
